Igal Raichelgauz

Founder & CEO

Igal Raichelgauz is the Founder and CEO of Autobrains and Co-Founder and Chairman of Cortica, a pioneer in self-learning AI technology. With a background spanning electrical engineering, computer science, and neuroscience, Igal has been at the forefront of AI innovation for over a decade. Under his leadership, Autobrains has raised over $140 million and built a portfolio of more than 300 patents, positioning the company at the center of the next phase of autonomous driving.

Igal began his career in elite military intelligence before co-founding Figment, an advanced messaging platform, and later serving as CTO of LCB, a speech recognition company. His academic research at the Technion in cortical neural networks laid the foundation for his approach to artificial intelligence.
In 2007, Igal co-founded Cortica, an AI company known for its self-learning technology in visual perception, where he led the creation of multiple AI ventures across industries, including Autobrains in autonomous driving.
At Autobrains, Igal is leading the transition to AD 3.0 through Thinking AI – an agentic approach that enables vehicles to understand context, assess risk, and make decisions in real time. This architecture allows scalable autonomous driving using standard sensors and efficient compute, bringing robust autonomy to every car.
Igal holds over 50 patents and has received multiple awards for innovation. He is a frequent speaker at global industry events, where he shares his perspective on the future of AI and the evolution of autonomous driving.

Karl-Thomas Neumann

Chairman

Karl Thomas joined Autobrains as an investor and a management team member following a career in the automotive industry that span over three decades. Over the years Karl-Thomas was the CEO of Continental AG, Opel AG and Volkswagen Group China. Karl-Thomas brings with him to Autobrains wealth of experience in Corporate Governance, Product Development, Marketing Strategy, Business Strategy and Automotive industry understanding. In recent years he got involved in the startup arena, focusing on innovation in the eMobility domain. Karl-Thomas completed his Ph.D. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from the University of Dortmund in 1987.

Awy Julianto

Board Member

Awy Julianto is the Founder & Managing Partner of Altitude Partners, an investment advisory firm active across the US, China, Israel, UK, and Southeast Asia. He works closely with Horizon Ventures and has invested in companies such as Zoom, SpaceX, Impossible Foods, and Animoca. Awy is also Chairman of Alto Dio Inc., a multi-strategy investment firm.

In 2022, Awy joined the Board of Autobrains, along side his role as special advisor.

Ziv Leitman

CFO

Ziv joined Autobrains as Chief Financial Officer, leveraging his 30+ years of experience in managing global finance teams and complex business processes.
He has held several CFO roles at leading enterprises such as Comverse, Partner, Paz, Lucent, DIC, Orbotech, and Allot.
Ziv is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting, as well as an M.B.A. in Finance and Information Systems, both from Tel Aviv University.

Adam Harel

SVP R&D

Adam is leading the Automotive R&D at Autobrains , He Joined Cortica in July 2013, and moved to lead the development work in Autobrains after it was founded. Adam brings a vast knowledge and extensive experience in the field of computer vision, machine learning and Image processing. Adam holds a Bachelor degree from the department of Biomedical Engineering of Tel Aviv University. Prior to that Adam served in an elite intelligence unit in the IDF.

Doron Chen

COO

Doron Chen the COO of Autobrains Technologies, overseeing corporate development, investor relations, legal affairs, and regulatory compliance. With a strong background in senior management, he drives strategic growth through fundraising, M&A, and deal sourcing, leveraging both business and legal expertise. Previously, he served as a Senior Corporate Associate at Herzog, Fox & Neeman, advising tech companies, VCs, and multinational firms. Doron holds an MBA in Finance and an LL.B. from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Michael Pozsar

Before leaving Aptiv in July 2019, Michael was Vice President Global Product Lines at Aptiv. In this role, Michael had P&L ($3.5B) responsibility for five global product lines: Advanced Safety; Infotainment; User Experience; Connectivity & Security and; Automated Driving Systems (SaaS) for OEM customers. He led the global strategic and tactical execution for these product lines. Michael is extremely passionate about Safety and has been a major advocate in the industry over the years. Michael and his team have also been recognized by both the Automotive News PACE and EU CLEPA organizations for multiple Innovation and Collaboration awards during the past years.
Prior to his career at Aptiv, Michael worked at several automotive industry companies including Adient (formerly Johnson Controls), Maxion Wheels (formerly Hayes Lemmerz), Tenneco and General Motors.
Michael has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.
Michael currently provides part-time advisory services to clients in the automotive technology sector. His clients include: (1) AutoBrains (formerly known as CarticaAI) which is an Israel-based AI technology start-up and, (2) Ambarella (Nasdaq: AMBA), which is an AI SoC technology supplier based in Santa Clara, CA.
